All children are involved in a range of classroom literacy programmes where they are given many opportunities to achieve their personal best.  Classroom programmes are planned to support the learners as they move through the year levels, with each child receiving specific teaching to address their learning needs.

Children in the junior school receive a phonics programme that is designed to assist them with reading and writing.  Daily programmes deliver a selection of shared book, poetry, group reading instruction, writing, spelling, time to be read to, and time for personal reading.
